Yahoo is useless now

well ill start with the constant page faults from all the unauthorized streaming ads that just start barking at you... then there are the apple ads that you cant stop, minimize and take up 3/4 of my 21 inch screen. Mail now is getting to the point it takes longer for me to type a sentence than it takes for my computer to wake up from being powered off... yahoo answers...please what a waste... dont bother making a comment on a story because yahoo has censorship *** that will either delete your post, change your post, ban you for no reason, and if its anything conservative it is straight squashed. Hillary and Kardashian are clearly worshiped by the people working at yahoo, Katie Couric is a straight out lying liberal who does interviews then changes every single thing you said to a liberal twist. I wont even use messenger... heres the thing that sucks... Ive been on Yahoo since 1997 almost 20 years! Once upon a time it was great, then they just kept adding more and more and more completely useless junk that is just noise and filler. The noise now has overpowered company. Maybe its that CEO Chick that thinks its cool to spend 8 million on a theme party for herself, maybe its the fact they are trying to bring in pseudo celebrities and paying them too much, I don't know why it got ruined, but I'm slowly trying to figure out how to migrate off of yahoo. I'm sooo sick of streaming commercials that play without my permission. it makes me want to walk into their corporate offices and beat someone with a claw hammer. they do know that every single one of their ads causes page faults? stack overloads...

Terrible editing and daily items

I like Yahoo and have for some time, but times change. Now it seems Yahoo believes all who tune in are fans of celebrities, radicals in one way or another, bigots, racists, fascists, travelers on a limitless budget, or weirdos who seek the dark side of tragic lives. I hope the majority of us are not who read Yahoo Home page. I feel sure those who seek out photos of deformed children, fighting celebs, one-sided politico rants, repeating "sponsored' ads, teasing "the Most Blah Blah", the richest celebs, athletes, politicians, etc. can seek these items out in another less formal format. I don't need to keep seeing the "20 most Blah Blah Blah", or the "Camera kept rolling" for bizarre panty shots.....I mean really.....give us a break. Just assumed the readers have an IQ of at least a 6th grader and your web site may be more tolerable. On Top of everything else, you removed most of the delete little down arrows for story deletion. I am ready to give up and go to Bing or Google.

Yahoo Mail

I've been a Yahoo Mail user since the late '90s, but over the past couple of yrs it just getting worse and worse. Where making changes to my address book used to take a couple of seconds, it is now just a jumbled mess. Most changes do not execute when I save/change them, it requires me to sign out and then sign in again. I tried to create a new group this morning and I got the little processing rotating circle, that just kept rotating to no avail! Is there anyone still at Yahoo that still cares about users? If Yahoo has any customer service or a place to get problems reported and/or resolved it is not apparent. My advise to Yahoo is either fix it or simply shut it down!!

Yahoo email has gone off the rails

Typical programmers - they attempt to "improve" something (add features few users want) and instead foul up what was working. As of early April it slowed to a crawl on occasion, and starting April 13, emails being written vanish and sometimes reappear for no apparent reason. Nothing like spending 10 minutes writing an email only to have it vanish. Yahoo mail is no longer useful - it barely was to begin with - so I'm going to gmail. Now the idiots on this site tell me i need to use at least 100 words to submit something. Who thought that stupidity up? If someone can write a complaint succinctly in fewer than 100 words they should be praised for it, rather than be require to fill out a bunc of drivel to get to 100 words.

I suspect it is you and/or your machine as the culprit(s). I have been using Yahoo mail through it's many iterations for many years now with no problems.

I use Firefox with Adblock, etc etc. and Yahoo works just fine with no ads, no problems, no nada---a little foreign lingo for you.

Too many adds

I don't mind one ad a second now they have split the window to 2 ads and it is driving me crazy - and I don't have the money to stop seeing the ads - I am all for ads but PLEASE YAHOO BE REASONABLE - ONE AD A SECOND IS ENOUGH - I have even purchased some things from the ads on Yahoo E-mail but looking at the flashing ads is driving me crazy and making using Yahoo as my e-mail provider an altogether unpleasant experience - Can someone help me?

Disappointed yahoo user

They provide no way to contact them for support through usual communication mediums: email, phone, in person, physical mail. They provide a help desk and if the automated feature doesn't work, they provide only ONE alternative which is their community help center which is filled with scams. There is near zero moderation, which one can deduce by scams being in over half of the questions being asked. The most common scam is users giving a phone number claiming it is yahoo's support phone number. In all cases these aren't really yahoo's phone as yahoo doesn't provide a support phone number. If the problem you have is an error message and isn't one that yahoo's automated system can fix and is not a problem with the users system, it is literally completely dependent on if and when yahoo decides to look at your account. Yet they don't even provide a means to contact them to let them know your account needs to be looked at.

"Wht th fk?"

Can't scroll thru headlines like before with this new home page,.. can't get "my comments" on things I have commented on,... THAT IS ENOUGH TO ME! What the ***? Why can't I go back to the old home page? I didn't have to scroll down before. The headlines were at the top of page, and I could scroll to the right to advance. Now, I have to scroll down several pages and still get ***. If I comment on a story, I don't get notifications any more, and can't see "my comments".

Worst Technical Support on the Planet!

Emails were accidentally deleted and I asked for them to be reinstated....massive mistake! The 'free' service threw every email we had had (over 12000) back into either inbox or deleted box...in many cases the wrong mail box, nothing was put back into sub folders...so paid the $100+ and then it started. Very poor communication, not clear what my money would get me, told it would take 4 hours, then 24 hours, then after massive frustration spoke to supervisor...72hrs. Still not right....I give up...useless!!! Never again!!!

Yahoo/Aabaco

I had a domain through Yahoo with 5 email addresses and everything worked fine until the switch to Aabaco. Only one address remain working and the others just disappeared and I get an error message when I try to recreate them. I have emailed customer help many times since October but I have been either asked to resubmit my question or reply that it has been solved (it hasn't) and closes the case. I have to resubmit the issue again and again.... I have never come across a customer service this bad.

Yahoo Mail Review

first of all I lost my Yahoo ID there used to be a way for them to identify you by asking you certain personal questions that is no longer the case though they ask you to submit certain information and email it to them and have them send it to you at a different email but they never send you any information what a joke Yahoo has become!!

Yahoo email account

I have several Yahoo email accounts. One was recently deactivated. When I attempted to see if I could re-activate the account or simply sign up for a new account, I was asked for some basic personal info including my age. I am 64. After completing the info I received a message stating I did not meet Yahoo's age requirements. ???? I tried several times, carefully filling in the info they requested. Always got the same response. I assume this is a glitch in their system, not blatant age discrimination. After searching for 30 minutes for a way to contact Customer Support (does it really exist?), I sent them a message explaining my problem. Have gotten no response.

Aabaco Small Business Offshoot Does Not Let Me Cancel or Delete CC info

Recently Yahoo Small Business changed its name (and sold its service to its holdings in Alibaba) to Aabaco Small Business. This, along with many consumer complaints alarmed me, and I immediately tried to switch to another hosting service. However, I am stuck because I...

I called Aabaco customer service number because they continue sending me emails to update my credit card info. I never registered with them or updated my cc info.

I called them to let them know that since it was no longer Yahoo, I no longer wanted the service. The guy on the phone kept running me around in circles. he kept telling me that he wanted to record the call for business purposes. I said that's cool as long as I can also record you for my protection.

He became very loud, rude, and argumentative but I held my ground and insisted. He finally said he could no longer speak with me unless I agreed not to record him but still let him record me. WTF?

The call ended right hter. I am gonna block them from my AMEX my CC.

A World Without Customer Support

I have spent the past few months as well as dozens of hours trying to alert yahoo that someone has somehow permanently hacked my account. Every time I change my password this IP address on the other side of the United States logs in and starts sending emails. I am at my wit's end. I have been using yahoo mail for the past decade and in the last few years it seems that monthly I get hacked. The hackers just want to spam everyone I know, but it feels terrible to know that strangers can have access to every document that I send and receive. I am very invested (time) in yahoo mail and I would hate to switch, but there are no more humans that work for yahoo customer support. I usually do not go online to write complaints, but if yahoo wants to exist in the next decade they need to figure out a way to fix their problems, for now I guess I'll move back to using gmail.
