With the fact they are now selling more information to data brokers I don't want to share my mobile phone number with them and after dealing with the buggy email interface was upset that they wanted to also have me share my mobile phone number that they can sell to data brokers and telemarketers.

Forcing users to have mobile phone is crazy

Yahoo apparently has a new policy that if you don't have a mobile phone, you are not welcome to use a Yahoo account. That's absurd, and so my days with Yahoo are over. Do they really think people are going to get a mobile phone just to use Webmail? And what's more, if I had a mobile, why the *** would I want to give the number to Yahoo? This company has sadly been going downhill for a long time, becoming less and less user and privacy friendly. There are a lot of free mail services out there that don't need my phone number, so goodbye Yahoo.

Hold time

Currently sitting on hold...one hour and 10 minutes have passed, still haven't talked to a single person. Absolutely ridiculous! They obviously don't pride themselves on customer service. You should get with the times and have some kind of online support team that can help when call volumes are high. Serious issue....I just missed my fantasy draft. We will be changing who we do our drafts with going forward.I could scream I'm so mad right now!!! Tell me exactly what other company you call with an issue and have to wait over an hour, none that I've ever dealt with. Hire some more people to help run your business, or you will lose it all.

Email moving, phantom emails appearing, what the ???

I'm checking my inbox, click on the top (most recent) email, and suddenly, I'm in Spam - with that email and three others that were NOT checked to be moved. Heck, the one I was IN wasn't checked to be moved! Another time, I had a complete page claiming it was my bank statement. For one month. A WHOLE PAGE. I know my bank doesn't send me 40 copies of a statement (figured I'd be lucky with one). There is NO place to hit "save draft" - I guess you just have to hope that it did an auto-save sometime recently. I'm getting out. There are other BETTER services out there. Go blow Yahoo!

Repeated request to signin

I signin to yahoo mail to read my emails and no sooner do I sigin and i get a message that says this session if finished and that I need to signin again .SO I signin again and within 2miutes it comes up again that the secession has finished and I need to sign in AGAIN and the longer I try to read my mail the more it continues (I am so tired of it I am thinking of scramping my YAHOO accouint and going to SKYPE or GMail .I am so frusrtrated That I may have no choice but to stop using Yahoo mail altogether and whats worse is I cannot seem to get any help to fix this problem !

I need a new password

I use Yahoo Password Helper but I can't get it passed a certain point then reverts back to first questions " enter your ID" obviously I know my ID if it was something else I would doubt my answer. Anyway I emailed Customer support with my alternate email after 2 days they emailed me saying to do exactly what I had complained about. it must be a machine that answers! it even had my problem written at the bottom saying your email. How frustrating is that ! then I just tried any password I thought was possible then got locked out for 2 days! their punishment is also harsh !! then they gave me a number to call which is continually busy !! I must leave Yahoo somehow ,,

Don't bother calling yahoo customer service. I think it's a fake line setup.

I was on hold for hours when I finally gave up.

I too had to reset my password because I think it was compromised. Luckily after emailing support it did work.

Would not refund after an auto renewal

Yahoo: I signed up for a service. 3 months later it auto renewed for $90. 1 day after seeing the charge on my Amex statement I called Yahoo and asked to cancel it and asked for a refund. They said sorry. The fine print says that they can not refund me the money. They should refund me the money for a service that I did not want to renew. I will never do business with them again. How can they expect to build loyal customers if they do not take care of them. Always read the fine print with Yahoo!

If you contact your bank directly and tell them that you did not authorize those charges, you should get your money back. Then they can fight with Yahoo.

Small business email system has changed for the worst

The changes you have made has tripled the time it takes me to do emails with and from drafts. You have made changes without any notice or explanation of how to handle changes. I make a file of drafts for cover pages to go with multiple emails and now have to do 3 extra steps to complete process. it does not have a save button, it does not update unless u leave draft area and return to it to see and access the drafts you were working on. Now the screen has been changed to half file you are in...mail, drafts whatever it is and other half is an item that you were checking on but now can't clear off page. Better before to change page to show item your viewing. GO BACK TO OLD SYSTEM OR AT LEAST GIVE PEOPLE THE CHOICE TO GO BACK TO OLD. and stop with the junk *** that has now tripled in the in box stuff.

Horrible Customer Service

It is impossible to get help as a business...the phone number is wrong on our Yahoo business listing and people keep calling someone's poor family all day and all night. I can't seem to get any help resolving it, and when I email them - you get these canned messages that absolutely have NOTHING to do with the issue I need help with. When you call, you are placed on hold with 300 people in front of you! It is impossible to reach anyone. Really, really bad. I'll stick to Google but since some people still use YAHOO, I need to address this asap.

I am so annoyed on how yahoo claims to solve your issues with your yahoo mail!! I have been attempting to get in touch with customer care for 8 days now and they never answer!! I've been on the line for hours and to no avail!! My concern is evidently not important to them but the answering machine claims that my call is important to them !! Ha ha!! They suggest if call is lost because of high volume of calls to email them!! Well how can I email them if I can't access my email???? I'm not happy with yahoo at all!! My next move is to contact the tv stations to inform them on how hackers are evidently in our stuff and yahoo does nothing to protect us!

My 90-year-old mother lost (or maybe forgot, not sure what happened) her Yahoo password. I emailed Yahoo and spent more than an hour on the phone waiting for Customer (non)Service, which never answered.

I then went onto Facebook and sent an email. I got an email back saying my mom needed to email them herself! How? She can't get into her email, which is exactly why there's a problem!

So then they told us that she should email them using my Yahoo email account, which she did. Well, surprise, no answer at all to that one! She even gave them her phone # so they could call and waited up until 9 pm (late for her) in case they did.

Did they? Nope!

Yahoo - Account Creation Review

They try to trick you into a long and unnecessary signing in process. It says on the page that I was on that I could 'create an account OR sign in with Facebook or Google'. I clicked on create an account because I thought it would just be quick and simple. I was wrong, they wanted my phone number so they could send me a code for some reason instead of just asking for an alternative email address - like every other site. Therefore, although I didn't want to I went back and clicked on the 'OR sign in with Facebook' option. I reluctantly gave them my Facebook details, it said there was a problem so again I reluctantly gave them my Facebook details and the *** thing directed me back to the same *** page where I am supposed to give them my phone number so I can receive a *** code. I am not able to receive the code so now I am not able to thank the person that helped me with my problem which is the only reason I want to create an account in the first place. I just scrolled down and now they want my phone number aswell. Lord Jesus please help me.

Yahoo customer service is a bunch of paper filers not problem solvers

I had a simple issue that required manual intervention. Even after describing the problem adequately they did not try to solve it as an attachment was missing. Now when I sent them an attachment, they asked me a bunch of client side issues even without even looking at the attachment. For something that is so obvious I think they just want to file the case rather than solve the issue. When I complained this is their ridiculous reply. Seems like she is a teacher enforcing a high school essay writing assignment. Thanks for getting back to us. I am sorry but we are unable to view the attachments you sent. I highly recommend you to include your reply to the information we asked in your next response. We're looking forward to your reply, Regards, Casey
