Joe in Tennessee

I have had a Yahoo mail account for over twenty years. Yahoo axed the version I used and auto transferred me to basic. I am an XP user. Link to switch to "new version" does not work. Nor can make the switch from within basic options. Yahoo has not replied to my email for help. No spell check. Move files to save folders works 50% of the time. Send email requires you know the ad or look it up in contacts then copy and paste into the To box. No font selections, no colors, etc. Yahoo wants $2.00 a month to transfer income mail from yahoo to another email address. I've clicked hundred of ads on yahoo page over the past 20 years. When I switch to outlook I will click their advertisers.

I can not read my yahoo e-mail in the new way it is presented because I am sight impaired

The only telephone # I can find, yahoo says this can not be handled at this #. Yahoo says I have to send an e-mail. I have sent so many e-mail to every department I can find on yahoo. NO response... The way Yahoo handles the problem at the telephone 866-562-**** is either tell me to buy yahoo mail plus or just hang up on me. I am sight impaired and I need to enlarge the print so I can see it. When I enlarge the print I can only see 1/2 of the e-mail at a time and the use of actions, spam, ect. buttons are not visible unless I make the print smaller. Then I can not see the print.

Problems with Yahoo Brasil

Writing here is an atempt to be heard and respected. I live in Brasil and lots of people here have had there email accounts blocked at Yahoo website. They simply stop working today at noon. Everybody start posting angry messages on Yahoo FB page since there are no ways to contac them directly. We realized then that there are some users that have not been able to access their account for more than 1 month. I hope someone from Yahoo in the US can help us solve this unbelievable problem because workers from Yahoo Brasil are not competent enough for doing so. Many thanks!

Yahoo! is going down the drain!

After many years of use, I had to fire Yahoo! and switch to Google. In their Yahoo! News section, they have a "local news" part that is supposed to provide your own local news if you provide you default location. It stopped working and kept giving me all kinds of obscure locations that I had never heard of before, such as the Ballston Spa News. I tried to get help 3 times by emailing Yahoo! customer service, but no response whatsoever. It appears Yahoo! has decided they are too important to be bothered with their customers. Apparently, their frantic and costly pursuit of new acquisitions. It took me about one hour to set up and customize Google's igHome. What a difference! I almost dare to predict Yahoo!'s demise within the next 3 years. They can't hold a candle to Google!

Yahoo tries to force Click4Support

Suddenly today, I couldn't send email to certain addresses, not even my own. An error message appeared that said: I telephoned Yahoo support, got a tech in India who suggested: my server has a glitch (false); someone else used my computer (false); my Mac was hacked (false), then said he couldn't fix it, but would transfer me to a company that could. He said that it could not be fixed by Apple Care nor at the Genius Bar nor by the IT people at my university, only by the people he would transfer me to. Whoa! Who are these people? What is the company? Click4Support. No thanks, I don't open my computer to companies I don't know. He claimed it was backed by the BBB, which, in fact, has a loud notice that the company is NOT accredited by BBB. Click4Support is an Indian company located in Connecticut. There are complaints on the web about this company, yet it is strongly promoted by Yahoo tech support, and one complaint said that it is advertised on several "Yahoo Customer Service" sites. Since the error message is from Yahoo, one has to wonder whether some agents of Yahoo are in cahoots with Click4Support and are deliberately disrupting email. Another complaint had exactly the problem I have of refusing to send email. Yahoo management needs to halt attempts by its agents to transfer calls to Click4Support. Who's getting kickbacks? I'm pissed!

Today my yahoo account got closed. I followed text directions, changed my password and got into my account and changed my password again just to be sure.

Then I call yahoo "customer care". I spoke to a man, "Sam", who was difficult to understand with a heavy Indian accent. We told me my computer was compromised very badly and connected me with "Jennifer" his supervisor who said She would need $199.00 to fix my problem and get me back into my yahoo account. Sam said the name of his company was Click4support.

WHY am I getting a 3rd party when I call YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE.

And WHY are they using scare tactics to try to extract $$$ from me? Please explain!!!!!

Yahoo Mail Lost All Information

Password was stolen by a fake yahoo email, all emails, contacts erased. I've spent over 8 hours on the telephone between ATT & Yahoo and I've never known such confused people in my life. I have an sbcglobal account, I purchased Yahoo Mail Plus for extra storage. Yahoo said they can not restore my emails & contacts, go to ATT. ATT I'm not their customer, they can't do anything for me. They send me to Connect Tech; they have no idea what email restore means. They kept telling me for a fee they will be able to diagnose my computer remotely, clean viruses, and update configuration. When I said I need my sbcglobal email restored from a backup server. She was lost, never heard those words before. And they would not let me talk to a technician unless I gave them a credit card number. This is what happens with conglomeration! Customer service does not exist; all you have is sales people who know nothing about the products and they have a quota to reach and the *** with the rest. There are so many different telephone numbers, none for the needed destination! The automated phone system is a killer of customer service and customer satisfaction. If anyone has a similar experience; who do I call or contact to get a reasonable response and action?

Yahoo is hacking and tracking my E-mail by proxy

long with AT@T, Amigos, U.S. Air Force, Eastwood Company, Jeg's, NHRA online, the music industry than using local T.V. Radio to badger me etc. Man, what's wrong with all these companies and their employees. It like everything has become a kids network and this has been going on for 20 years every were I've moved to. People are so quick to Judge what box you belong in when they don't even understand the control box we all live in. *** it's like we have gone back to being neanderthals and no talks to each other anymore. Well enuff with my rant.

Mail Hacked

I have had a yahoo account that was merged with ATT years ago. I recently went away from ATT DSL. My account was hacked and I have no way to get back into it. All account changes have to go through ATT and ATT also will not help. I would have no problem paying yahoo to help me get back in and unmerging my account but can not find any support except scammers. Even if they would just close my account. I used yahoo for both mail and home page. I do not have much recourse if they will not help me other than never using yahoo again. No wonder they are tanking.

My daughter had her yahoo account hacked, she was able to get back into it and she changed the secret questions, the alternate email (an email account she only uses for that purpose) and changed her password. I was hacked by someone in another country because it showed her last login from Syria or some 3rd world country like that. If you had att I'm not sure your email account would still be active without att internet service since that is the account that is associated with your internet service.

Wow. I had the exact same problem.

I noticed emails were sent from my account to all my contacts, and the system, for some reason, sent them back as.if those addresses were incorrect. So they ended up in my inbox.

When i opened the emails, i saw nothing. Just a link to different sites that I had never heard of.

I was pretty busy the day i saw this, and then forgot about it because i dont really use yahoo that much.

A day or two later, i couldnt access my account anymore. I always use my cell, not so much the laptop. It said password was incorrect and i had to access or make changes to my account from another device.

I went to my laptop and it asked me for my cell to reset password, but i dont have that number anymore.

It asked then for security questions, and the name of my favorite uncle, which i only have one and never ever call him by his name, EVER. So i used his nick and nothing, used the name and nothing.

Called c.s. and idk if it was because of the time (1 am) or she is just one of those ppl that need to work with animals and not humans. She was SOOOO rude and was not listening to me, just arguing and trying to shut me up because she kept saying the account hadnt been hacked, that it was my phone, that yahoo didnt recognize the device and bla bla bla,, she was just beyond horrible, to the point that when i finally got her to resolve the issue and to the password reset part, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. No nothing, ZIP, ZERO, NADA words.

Im closing the account and never again. :(

Da

We use Yahoo email daily; Yahoo locks our email daily (we have been loosing thousands of $$$$$-dollards); you cannot rely on Yahoo Email Service. We have sent emails, letters, etc., asking for their assistance and they never took a corrective action;Furthermore, we called hundreds of times Yahoo's c.service and they failed to help us. Therefore, we have not other choice but to make a complaint- expecting yahoo-excecutives compel their employees to offer a Quality & Professional Service- for yahoo users. Yahoo advertises free email account- and has failed hundreds of time to provide a good email service; yahoo erase your information, they sends false messages that you do not have the correct password or that you have not used your account and erases your information; Yahoo is very slow, inefficient, unreliable, wates your time, and blocks your email; Yahoo has currently very inefficient employees in the email-service; 5 years ago they were average- in service. But in the last 2 years their service is worse than in the 3rd world country. It is sad because the excecutives are efficient and smart, but the clerks in the email are very lazy and incompetent and make yahoo look very bad. I hope yahoo-directors hire efficient employees- for the email dept. Thanks. Cyber-Association

YAHOO Mail Service Billing

I have got no less than 10 Emails from "Yahoo! Mail Plus Account Overdue Reminder" Yahoo keeps billing me for the mail service telling me my Credit Card info is incorrect! It is correct they just cant seem to get it thru their *** system to UPDATE the information I gave them months ago. They even show me the correct info when I go to MY WALLET but then they try to access the old information for automatic payment!! Trying to call YAHOO is like trying to call up OBAMA and asking him to meet you for a drink at *** Bar and Grill (yeah he will be there)--What idiots

I have had the yahoo mail plus for over 10 years. When my email was hacked and I lost everything, yahoo tech support said they don't have Mail Plus service, it must be ATT from when the two were one (kind of), ATT support knew nothing about Mail Plus either.

They both told me they can not recover my old emails nor my contacts that were deleted! Why has Yahoo/ATT been charging my credit card annual fee for Mail Plus? The reason I paid for Mail Plus was exactly for such issues; to recover my emails.

What is one to do? Does anyone have Yahoo's CEO's direct email and phone number?

Yahoo makes money spying on us yet, it hides it's own contact information. The government wants to get into every aspect of our lives, but it does not want to do anything with companies with such unethical practices? I could not find a working number for Yahoo support but found a web site (can't remember URL) but had something to do with Yahoo mail? I called 800 number, the tech remoted to my pc, looked around and showed me that my email was hacked from someone in Nigeria. They told me if I sign up for a 3 year service for $350, the will clean my computer remotely using some microsoft Anti Hacking software. I asked him what the name of that software was, he repeated Microsoft Anti Hacking. I told him I can not afford the software and asked him if they would be able to restore my lost emails and contacts (15 years worth), he said yes, it will take 24 hours. Never heard from them, and none of my emails are recovered.

Yahoo suggests a 3rd party company called Connect Tech! The gal who answered the phone kept telling me about virus and spyware malware removal via remote, but had no idea what I meant when I told her I need my Yahoo mail restored!

I called billing 800-288-**** to ask about my Yahoo Plus mail which I've subscribed to for over 10 years annual membership for mail storage! After going through the pizza ordering menu, and hold for a while, someone picked up the phone but never uttered a word! I could hear people laughing in the background and kept asking, can you hear me? 2 minutes later they dropped the call. Tried calling again, the lines were busy, a message suggested going to yahoo online help!

They're no help!

CANNOT LOG MYSELF IN

I try to log myself in from a different computer and country which should not be a problem. Are you for real yahoo? Shame of you. My password or user name is correct. So don't even dare to ask me that. And, I realy don't want to tell you more "nice" words to reach your 100 words count. I can log myself in on skype or any other sites. You must be real special. Please don't "protect" me so much and let me use my *** account. Do you get it? This is not funny, and you dare to ask for money to solve my problem when is realy your fault.

Scam

I needed help with outlook email. I allowed this tech to access my computer and gave him my email address, name and phone number. The number I called was 800-926-****. I almost hung up immediately because I couldn't understand what he was saying because of the Indian sounding accent, but unfortunately, I didn't. Whe I asked if he really was with Microsoft, he said that they were "certified" techs for Microsoft. Now I'm scared of what could happen to my computer and what he was able to get to before I logged off the chat! Not sure what to do from here! Can't find a number for Microsoft to report them.
