Horrible Customer Service

It is impossible to get help as a business...the phone number is wrong on our Yahoo business listing and people keep calling someone's poor family all day and all night. I can't seem to get any help resolving it, and when I email them - you get these canned messages that absolutely have NOTHING to do with the issue I need help with. When you call, you are placed on hold with 300 people in front of you! It is impossible to reach anyone. Really, really bad. I'll stick to Google but since some people still use YAHOO, I need to address this asap.

Yahoo - Customer Care Review

I am so annoyed on how yahoo claims to solve your issues with your yahoo mail!! I have been attempting to get in touch with customer care for 8 days now and they never answer!! I've been on the line for hours and to no avail!! My concern is evidently not important to them but the answering machine claims that my call is important to them !! Ha ha!! They suggest if call is lost because of high volume of calls to email them!! Well how can I email them if I can't access my email???? I'm not happy with yahoo at all!! My next move is to contact the tv stations to inform them on how hackers are evidently in our stuff and yahoo does nothing to protect us!

My 90-year-old mother lost (or maybe forgot, not sure what happened) her Yahoo password. I emailed Yahoo and spent more than an hour on the phone waiting for Customer (non)Service, which never answered.

I then went onto Facebook and sent an email. I got an email back saying my mom needed to email them herself! How? She can't get into her email, which is exactly why there's a problem!

So then they told us that she should email them using my Yahoo email account, which she did. Well, surprise, no answer at all to that one! She even gave them her phone # so they could call and waited up until 9 pm (late for her) in case they did.

Did they? Nope!

Yahoo - Account Creation Review

They try to trick you into a long and unnecessary signing in process. It says on the page that I was on that I could 'create an account OR sign in with Facebook or Google'. I clicked on create an account because I thought it would just be quick and simple. I was wrong, they wanted my phone number so they could send me a code for some reason instead of just asking for an alternative email address - like every other site. Therefore, although I didn't want to I went back and clicked on the 'OR sign in with Facebook' option. I reluctantly gave them my Facebook details, it said there was a problem so again I reluctantly gave them my Facebook details and the *** thing directed me back to the same *** page where I am supposed to give them my phone number so I can receive a *** code. I am not able to receive the code so now I am not able to thank the person that helped me with my problem which is the only reason I want to create an account in the first place. I just scrolled down and now they want my phone number aswell. Lord Jesus please help me.

Yahoo customer service is a bunch of paper filers not problem solvers

I had a simple issue that required manual intervention. Even after describing the problem adequately they did not try to solve it as an attachment was missing. Now when I sent them an attachment, they asked me a bunch of client side issues even without even looking at the attachment. For something that is so obvious I think they just want to file the case rather than solve the issue. When I complained this is their ridiculous reply. Seems like she is a teacher enforcing a high school essay writing assignment. Thanks for getting back to us. I am sorry but we are unable to view the attachments you sent. I highly recommend you to include your reply to the information we asked in your next response. We're looking forward to your reply, Regards, Casey

Yahoo ignores hundred of complaints about multiple accounts troll.

For years, users have complained to Yahoo about a troll who calls himself Andy Elle, Fred Phelps and dozens of other names. He spends 7 days a week disrupting discussions, stalking, distressing, insulting users. He hacks the system to delete other users' comments, to delete whole threads in News discussions, to remove complaints He clones other users IDs and avatars and uses the impersonations to write obscenities which he usually deletes after having "a day of fun" at his victims' expense. He has been reported hundreds if not thousands of times, yet Yahoo let him carry on regardless. It's as if Yahoo were supporting this repugnant individual.

Email locked

Can't get into email and tried calling yahoo but I am constantly waiting on telephone. Someone told me yahoo doesn't care so they don't answer any problems. I've heard that yahoo could care less about their clients. If they cared they would have tried to fix this. I had to make another email and do everything all over again. So Yahoo really stinks. And now you want me to keep typing all kinds of words to get a response. You have to be kidding me. To me computers are crazy in the first place and yahoo just made it crazier. So *** yahoo and keep your *** 100 word letters! If you cared then you wouldn't put someone thru this. Am I almost at a hundred words?

Yahoo has blocked my account because I was trying to access it from a different country than where I registered it. Guess yahoo has never heard of people traveling or moving.

#853804

I have been with Yahoo for DECADES. Now they will not recognize me at all.

I CANNOT login/access email. I've called several times during various 24hr periods ( due to being "on-call"). I ALWAYS get the same recording about Pacific Time!! When I do have a chance to call in the middle of the day, I get, "Sorry, all of our [reps] are busy at this time.

Please hold. Your call is very important to us." The FCC will find out how important "Yahoo" feels about it's customers!!

@PissedConsumer851838

They won't answer mine either!!!! I have three different numbers for their "customer care" and, OMFG, surprise, surprise, surprise....all the recordings say the same *** thing!!!!!!!!

AND you can't leave a message or number or even wait for a rep. Guess only the network is 24/7.Customer service is 1hr/3days for all of us who made them a multi-billion company!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar issue with Yahoo. They locked my account after their two step security process did not work!

They texted the code to my phone to use when logging in, and the codes did not work.

I did this twice, my wife did it twice, we were locked out for 12 hours, then 15 hours, now locked out for good. I set up this account 15 years ago and am going to lose 15 years of data, emails and contacts thanks to Yahoo!

Yahoo killing groups

Some groups are disappearing, without a trace. (Not even a perfunctory "Adios and stay well" from Yahoo? I mean, how hard is that?) YAHOO can certainly mail a form letter to members, adivsing them of their intention to kill the group. But, no warning. Members are left hanging. Presumably, YAHOO does not offer this simple courtesy because they believe there are no active members. Why? They can't count. They are giving wrong information about the number of messages in the last week. I have 7 groups. They are wrong most of the time. How hard is it for a computer to count? This baffles me. If nothing else computers CAN count and do it quite well. Why can't Yahoo's computers count the number of entires made in a week? They are killing healthy groups. People are defecting like rats from a ship, only smarter rats. Yahoo is not the only game in town anymore. Why are they really doing this? Are they cleaning up their servers or are they trying to drive people away? Have they gone out of the business of storing information? Given the intrusiveness of the nasty ads positioned now on each and every page of a group, I should think they'd want to keep these groups around, so that they can make members nuts with the *** ads. What gives Yahoo?

Another long time Yahoo customer bites the dust.

I had yahoo email service for years and often visited their news pages until they made radical changes to the email interface rendering my email account worthless. I have switched to google and only have my yahoo account because some people still contact me on this account. The last time I logged in they wanted me confirm my email account with my cell phone and had my cell phone number. I have no idea how they got my cell phone number and want it removed from their records. Shortly after the new email interface change my account was compromised and with how buggy their new interface is I don't trust them with any information they have on me. I'm still trying to figure out how they managed to figure out my cell phone number when I never give this out and never used their app on my smart phone. I cannot contact anyone from Yahoo about how I can go about removing my cell phone number from their records. I'm about to close my account but first I want them to remove my cell phone number from their records. The advertisements are irritating and no they have my google email address and are sending daily emails on news stories I may be interested in despite me deciding months ago not to visit their news site any longer due to the new design and advertisements. Since they don't listen to their customers and forced their buggy interface on customers I have no reason to stay with Yahoo. The Yahoo Classic Email was fine and shouldn't have been changed at all and I wish they would roll back the changes like many other loyal Yahoo customers and former customers.

Replacing titles with Ads is mean and pathetic

Now we cannot sort our mail by date or sender because the headings have been replaced by ads???? How low can you actually go? Where is customer care here? I appreciate how they have to make money and the way I through ads but this is a step too far, there no interest whatsoever for the users and they are making their mailbox useless. I do not intend to pay to get rid of ads when I can obtain a far better service by other service providers who do not harass you in this pathetic and ridiculous way. So leaving yahoo!!!

Planting advertising in personal emails that cannot be deleted

I disagree with Yahoo sending advertisements in personal email folders. It is hard enough dealing with all other dross besides Yahoo doing the same. I understood that emails were for the advantage of the subscriber, as I see it even if it interested me I would ignore all cold emails. If it continues then personally I will seek another provider.I disagree with Yahoo sending advertisements in personal email folders. Cannot access my account and cannot get ahold of anyone from customer care.

I've been waiting on hold for almost an hour to speak with a service rep so that I can reset my password to get into my account. I cannot believe YAHOO customer care is taking this long for something that is so simple. I've read other reviews of people that said they waited on hold for hours so I am losing hope. They might as well not even have people on hold if it takes hours to get through to somone. A service where there call your phone back would be useful for them. Long time and frustrated yahoo user, Megan (626)476-****

You "improved" my email by making it unusable..

PLEASE give me back my old email program, please, please. PLEASE!!!!!!!! I spend too much time trying to find old emails, the program "hangs up", I miss my tabs. Why was I not given an option of keeping what I was satisfyed with? I paid for email plus and was happy. Now, I want a refund plus compensation for lost time trying to make this dog hunt would by nice. I am a business man, also, and cannot understand why a company would want to alienate its customers in such a manner as you are doing. Time to go, I have to find a new email client.
