Yahoo keeps using the term social media.

Yahoo keeps using the term social media. They get everything wrong. From what facebook and twitter are and what Youtube is. People have already died because of it. Social Media makes it easy for people to cyberbully, cyberharass, cyberstalk and even killing children. From that 13 year teen got cyberbullied. She killed herself and the police wouldn't at the justice system just sat by and did nothing. Also, that band of young men who gang raped that 16 year girl. I got cyberbullied. I tried to commit suicide three times last year. Doesn't Yahoo have any sympathy or decency.

An everyday occurance

problems with, you name it..IM, passwords, etc. At first I tried online help, forums etc. but i have only one life to live and it is not worth my time to sort through useless topics that do not address my issues. Next level, struck gold after panning for an actual phone number for "customer service". Ah ha, at last, I thought..a solution, but sadly, I was wrong. To be fair, Yahoo did have a call me back option so I didn't have to wait on the phone for an hour. Yahoo needs to understand that if you treat your customers like vermin, they will jump ship like rats. I am now seeking alternatives, maybe I will go back to Google. Any suggestions out there will be appreciated.

I'm sure your local library offers free computer courses and they might even help you learn to avoid all the malware *** up your computer.

Text Twist wouldn't come back up.

Yahoo really stinks any more. I can't seem to do anything on it with any sort of completion. Why butt into other markets when you can't even take care of the one you have. Many people have been displaced by the game shutdown. Now you can't even get the regular single player games to stay on. Also, the Mail gets messed up often. You need to hire people who know what is out here where the real people are and get them to listen to what is needed. Why discontinue what works and not keep what you have working? Enough Yahoo.... You STINK!!!

Yahoo Email Now Sucks

Heh Idiots at Yahoo. I run my businesses off Yahoo emails. With over 10+ years - people know and use the email addresses. Well out of frustration of using this new format, I picked up my MacBook Pro closed it and smashed it into my desk. Now it will not start up. Bad idea by me. A little volatile? Yes. But Yahoo has made me insane. Thanks Yahoo. If I have any of your stock, I will now sell short because you will go the way of AOL with *** decisions like this. I haven't seen any remarks from Yahoo about changing what so many people are complaining about. I am also a 10year+ user and now trying to decide on a new e-mail provider.

Obviously the people at Yahoo are not concerned with what their users are saying otherwise they would have done something about it by now. Saying farewell to Yahoo!!

The Problem with Yahoo Customer Care is simple - They don't CARE!

I phoned customer care yesterday and was on hold well over an hour. Finally I hung up. Today I called again and was on hold for an hour before someone answered. He asked for my phone number in the event "we got disconnected." True to Yahoo's modus operandi there was a disconnect after less than a minute. And did they call back? (Mmm, MO again). Answer - No, and it's 30 minutes from time of hangup! (At least they're consistent). Am I going to call back? Are you kidding. Yahoo mission accomplished. They probably took my phone number to place it on their "customers who are a pain in the a#! list.

Poor connectivity with Yahoo services

So sorry to complain, but I am fed up with Yahoo web sites and e-mail. I cannot connect between the hours of 6:00 am and 5:59 am ( the next day). Yahoo has focused so much on ad content and stealing my personal info from e-mail to generate ads that they have lost sight of what made them great. Yahoo continues to be "unavailable" most of the time ( e mail and Finance pages) and this is ridiculous. Yahoo also lost track of my personal e mail data ( read " hacked") and my e mail account sent numerous e mail span messages. WOW. Yahoo, Do you know what you are doing at all?

Yahoo going down the drain..

Very Very Disappointed with Yahoo. I have had a paid account for mail for over a decade with rarely any problems, I can not actually think of any until recently. Since the what is her name?? came from google, its been one mess up after another. Today, I can't open email. then I am bumped out of email, then I can't sign in, then I get this error message wtf? Not to mention the spam increase in my inbox and the instant messaging from unique names that I keep getting despite being turned off. hello, your turn off doesn't work.. 3 of us have looked at I am off. I get yahoo on my smart phone but that is not where I want to open most of it.. I am forwarding to my gmail account. Yahoo get smart.. fire the chick at the top.. Here's the error Unknown Host Description: Unable to locate the server named "mg6.real.mail.yahoo.com" --- the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again.

Feb 24, 2014 Yahoo has serious problems. I am locked out of my account and have been trying for 3 weeks to access my acount.

YAHOO CUSTOMER CARE IS PATHETIC AND SHOULD SHUT DOWN

I forgot my yahoo password to my account and i need it very badly because my everything that relates to my life and my job are sent to that email. I have called the yahoo customer care number everyday for the past 9 days straight. Each time i've called i had to wait anywhere between a HOUR OR 2 HOURS all for my call to get cut off. I have literally wasted up 10 hours of MY LIFE trying to a hold of A YAHOO REPRESENTATIVE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND THE SAD PART IS IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. Yahoo refusal to recognize a long-term customer

Some months ago, being retired and on a limited income, I cancelled my 'Premium' account, which I had for some years, and reverted to 'Standard' account. Since then I have had to enter my email address and password as many as four times to access my account, and sometimes not only providing answers to my secret questions, but repeating an almost ineligible code. Eight hours (8) earlier today I signed in (took 3 times and secret questions) and later signed out, maybe 10 minutes later. Now you have refused to recognize my password, although I definitely not only remember but I took pains to enter it properly. You have forced me, once again, to initial a new password, which I think is totally unnecessary as my recent past password has worked these couple months (even when I have to enter it many times). Don't bother sending a reply from your computer, it never addresses the subject. Don't you have humans working there now? If you can come up with a specific reason why your system is inept, I am ready to listen.

I suspect it has nothing to do with Yahoo but, rather with your machine. Try clearing your history and cache. I would download a small, free program called CCleaner at "piriform.com" and use it to clean out your machine on a regular basis. Take a look at it.

I also would start using Firefox instead of IE if that's what you are using. When you access the Yahoo website it is not recognising you and thus wants you to log in, etc. Try cancelling out your account with yahoo in total, clean out your cache of all, and I mean all cookies, history, etc and start a new yahoo account and see what happens.

If you continue to have problems with Yahoo, just use some other website. Yahoo has many problems now and the new head of Yahoo is someone with little practical knowledge of how to run a large corp which means continuing trouble for Yahoo. Most likely, it will be history in a couple of years---a good run while it lasted, but there are better places to park yourself nowadays.
