They have mis-categorized my business and I can't get it changed!

I have a graphic design business called, Creative Office Guru. Yahoo decided that I sell office supplies - I guess because I have the word "office" in my business title. I get calls asking if I carry such & so or if I will carry a certain product in my "store" all the time. I have been trying unsuccessfully to change my business information for at least 4 months. I've contacted them and got this response "because of the popularity of Yahoo...we are experiencing longer than normal response times....yada yada" And of course you can't respond to the email. It is very frustrating to have to field calls that are not going to generate any revenue or even good will toward my company!

Yahoo customer care suckks

i have been trying to login into my account and I couldn't login as I am not typing one of my security questions answer correctly. I have tried calling customer care 25 times and I have waited for at least 2 hrs once before the call gets cut. I got a confirmation mail also but they didn't respond to my mail. Really if this is the service they provide then they need to close the company. I am tired of calling yahoo or writing mail to the yahoo mail for yahoo customer care. They least bother about there customers. I am really pissed by there behavior.

After the last upgrade of Yahoo Mail, I can't print emails

Message appears and tells me that there may be unsecured data in the information I want to print. Do I wish to continue... Yes. It prints page with the standard boiler plate but no information contained in the email prints out... just a heading with no info. So now there is a request to update my browser 'Firefox' which I have been ignoring for three days... so I update the browser. Those programs tell me my security system will not allow me to download the file .exe... I override... the program finishes and I sign off the computer, reboot and still continued to get message telling me the browser needs to be updated. So i call support 800 number and get someone who insists i give him personal information complete spelling of name email address and birthdate I refuse to give him my birthdate and ask him to show me from information on his webpage that he is an authorized Yahoo technician... He says if I think he is a scammer I should call another number. I ask him to give me the other number of someone I can understand, whose first language is English, and he hangs up on me!! I'm now back in the same position as before. Why not put the old software back on until the new package is tested, repaired and running.

Yahoo mail down for maintenance more than 24 hours!

Yahoo has taken some email accounts down for maintenance for more than 24 hours. Yesterday there was no clue why -- more than 24 hours later they finally tell their customers why they can't access email. Denying access to email for more than 24 hours is unacceptable in this day and age, and waiting that long to inform customers is even more unacceptable. Yahoo should have warned customers their email would be down AND Yahoo should never deny access for 24+ hours. Many of us rely on email and have time-sensitive information being held up. Terrible customer service! Give me my email!

Can't even get into my Yahoo mail

When I tried to sign in to my Yahoo email account, I couldn't get there. I get the page that wants you to upgrade. I didn't want to upgrade because I am so pissed at Yahoo that I am gradually moving my email to a different provider. Anyway - it has a link to continue without upgrading. The link does not work. Below that there is a link for help. That link doesn't work either. I have had many other problems including deleting files that come back. There are so many pop ups that it is hard to concentrate on the task at hand - too much time getting rid of pop ups that just return on the next screen.

Same here! The link used to work, despite being repeatedly annoying.

Now it doesn't work.

Here's a fast way to open now: RIGHT click on the link that says "Continue without upgrading" Choose "open in new window" (or tab) and your email inbox will be there. Very frustrating, but at least you can get into your email doing that.

Yahoo Small Business Acct. cancelled, my website and email are gone!

Like thousands of customers around the country, my yahoo small business account has been cancelled without notice. My website is not being hosted and email doesn't work. Yahoo customer support is a myth, it doesn't exist. I will be taking my business elsewhere as soon as possible. Here's how. Contact the domain registrar, Melbourne I.T. (011-61-3*-624-****), tell them the problem you are having and that all attempts to contact Yahoo have failed. They can "escalate" your account with Yahoo. Yahoo then has 48 hours to respond. If they do not, call Melbourne I.T. again and they can do a "second escalation" of the account. Again Yahoo has 48 hours to respond. When they don't respond, call Melbourne I.T. again and they can have you fill out a form to release the rights to your domain name from Yahoo, and they can give you the codes/security key needed to get your domain name transferred to a different hosting company such as GoDaddy, etc.

Yahoo customer care SUUUUUUCKS

I have been locked out of my current and most used email for SEVERAL MONTHS because I cannot remember the answer to my security question. I had contscted yahoo customer care online SIX TIMES and called their numbers which of course no one picks up the damn phone over 20 times. I had aited on the phone each time for about twenty minutes before I received a busy signal. ALSO. I received an automated message back from my complaint asking me what the answers to my security question were! THATS WHY I EMAILED YOU IDIOTS! totally lacking and downright lazy I am never using this site again I have lost many opportunities due to "customer care" negligence and never really getting back to me you call that customer care? hire people and I mean actual people to help and not machines. k thanks. -pissed customer # 487986****384579****948739****938476****

Yahoo has a new chief, but she apparently hasn't a clue how to bring Yahoo back from the living dead. I have moved on, after years with Yahoo to other email services.

Gmail is ok as long as you use Firefox and use the add-ons to stop GMail's insidious and irritating ads.

I have found Mail.com and GMX.com email to be more trouble than they are worth. All you can do is try some out and pick the one(s) that work for you.

Yahoo small business cancelled my account and redirected my website withoput my consent

On Dec. 1st, I no longer had email or my business website. They were both just cancelled by Yahoo with no notice. Yes, I know they say they let consumers know this would happen if you did not sign a consent form, but i NEVER GOT A NOTICE! After 1 solid week of try my autherization code so I can take my business to another host, I still can not get through on the phone. I do get email responses, but they keep giving me phone numbers to call which do not work. Their lines are down, really, no phone access for 1 week and no-one in the media is reporting this? I am sure I am not they only one this happened to.

Missed Yahoo! alerts cost me $75

I get alerts from my credit card co's. when the bill is coming due and they never arrived. I relied on these for years and didn't notice when they didn't appear a few months ago. So of course I missed payments for 3 cards and was charged $25 each and took a hit to my previously stellar credit rating! Target just returned my late fee without me asking because of so many similar complaints.Yeah,Target.I know Yahoo is free and in the end it was my responsibility to keep track of the bills but it is very annoying that it cost me money and reputation.Needless to say, I went to another email concern and learned a hard lesson.

Holding time also

You're right. They suck. I haven't been able to go into my accounts. Theyve been hacked and I tried calling yahoo 800# several times but get hung up on due to high volume calls after waiting on phone for 20 minutes last time 30 still can't access my account and it says "we care about your calll" but obviously not. And they close at 8pm telephone operators. Horrible. And can't change it online because the hacker screwed everything up. And so I alsp emailed them with another email but obviously haven't heard from them. Maybe more people need to be hired. Wow

Yahoo Fantasy Basketball

I was in a paid Fantasy Basketball League that Yahoo provides. It's a $20 entrance fee. There are multiple players constantly offering trades. One day, I accidentally accepted one so I filled out a help form to have them help me reverse the trade. They emailed me back saying they do not interfere in Pro League transactions. At the same time, I posted and email other league owners to help me veto the trade transaction. The weird thing is that a couple of minutes after receiving their email that they cannot help me, they went ahead and reversed the trade anyways but locking/suspending my account. So I opened up several tickets asking why my account was suspended. They did not provide any details other than repeatedly posting their terms of agreement links and saying they cannot reverse account suspensions. I as well as several others in that paid league feel there was no reason to suspend my account and it may have been a mistake but yahoo will not even review the decision. After several attempts to get an answer, they finally replied by saying they do not provide reasons on why accounts are locked or suspended. They will not refund my entry fee. The mistake is on their end and why would they suspend an account just for asking for help. All they had to do was say no. I can't get any help since the only response they give back is a link to their terms of agreement. Their phone lines make you hold for hours and then disconnect you.

YAHOO EMAIL - NOW THE WORST EVER !!

I have been a yahoo email member virtually since I started using email for any personal usage. This new email is too busy, too much advertising, no longer user friendly....and truthfully SOOOO VERY SLOW and that's while using at home -- not w/a cellphone! Id rather pay - and will!! Looking elsewhere~! Way to go Yahoo....should be ashamed for changing something that has loyalty (rather HAD)....customers....nothing good for free appears to be where they are now headed. If you have any issues/concerns it notes contact yahoo....yeah right ever tried to contact these people - good luck !?

Yahoo email changed and may have cost me a much desired job!!!

The new un-user friendly email the yahoo forced upon my account somehow has not been sending all my replys to a potential employer. It would show up as sent to the employer's email address in my sent email box, but now I see that the address line was only replying to myself. One of thier reps contacted me today about an follow up interview and why I had not responded. They had missed 3 emails it seemed like I had been ignoring thier emails this whole time. I am really, really in need and want this position, now I may not get it since yahoo made me look like a jack ***. Thanks Yahoo!

Yup, new Yahoo email is inconsistent and totally unreliable. I have had several clients never receive my email messages only to learn that some of the messages I sent never got sent but were instead sent to my Drafts folder.

I thought it was a fluke on my part but it has happened multiple times already. It possibly has to do with Yahoo's new policy in which they scan your emails to glean information in which they then use to target you for specific ads. The also scan emails for any illegal activity which they then will report to authorities. So if you thought your Yahoo emails were private, think again.

They operate just like big brother.

Eff you Yahoo. I hope you go belly up you piece of *** web service.

#746321

I am a Yahoo e-mail user, and have always considered Yahoo as the best, most user-friendly e-mail service.

Until now.

The new Yahoo e-mail seems an imitation of GMAIL in its concept,

which, while not a bad thing, detracts from the ease and simplicity of the more traditional Yahoo.

The new Yahoo is complicated, messy, fussy, and confusing, and I just wish that people knew when to leave a good thing alone, and not to make it so "new and improved," that using it becomes a hassle instead of a pleasure.

What happened is they changed it

There's an old saying... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Yahoo used to be so user friendly and now it's confusing and complicated and messy and it's just awful to use. When I look at my in-box, it has too many descriptions and the email itself is totally confusing - I can't tell who sent and who received and which one is the final one. I'll click on something and the whole message will transform into something that makes no sense. Sent messages don't get sent but go to drafts and I have to go into drafts to send but then I don't know if I've just sent it twice. I don't want to change but if they don't make it easier to use, I probably will switch.

Yahoo's New Mail Fail - Open letter to Marissa Mayer

https://www.facebook.com/groups/yahoomailfail/?_=_

#740546

It also seems to me like a lot of the emails that I send or receive have the word "Me" on the subject line. It's a bunch of "baloney" the way they keep changing things.

#740458

Yahoo is under new management, but not necessarily for the better. Yahoo and all other sites rely on advertising to survive.

The bottom line is if you don't like a site/service, then don't use it. In the case of Yahoo, I would start now with finding a new, alternate email client for when Yahoo goes under, which may be sooner than you think---they are having serious financial problems. Also, you might try to improve your email by doing a couple of things: start using Firefox as your browser and install the adblock, etc. addons which will help clean up the yahoo mail site.

Also, download and install the "Disconnect me" addon for Firefox which will keep most advertisers from knowing who you are or putting ads within your email client.

It is at:

https://disconnect.me/

Once you start using Disconnect Me you will be surprised at how many people are getting your personal info. In any event, time to start seeking alternate email venues.
