Email star function is not working properly

This is in regard to recent changes to Yahoo mail. The star a message function was achieved by clicking on the grey star in order to flag an email msg, doing so now makes the grey star option disappear completely, no star is left ...the only way now to star or flag a message is to right click and if you go to the next email message the right click actually may cause the first star to disappear, even though you were no longer on that line/msg. The changes to the email have been rapid and at least something changes every month....really wish they would leave-it-alone!!!

I’m a lefty & none of my comments stay posted. I’ve only said nice things about fashion!

Still. Moments after my post it disappears. A note saying my comment was rejected. I think this is how they permanently ban you.

They simply refuse to allow any comments you make go through. My comments were allowed until I said the moderators must not speak English because they were questioning comments that were fine.

Yahoo hijacking my browser

No matter what I do or how I reset things in Firefox and/or Google Chrome, my search engine defaults to Yahoo. Now I even get a Verizon page powered by Yahoo that "doesn't recognize Google" as an option???? I NEED to use Google as my search engine, and I'm spending an inordinate amount of time away from my deadline-sensitive workload trying to fix this issue. I deeply resent Yahoo having the arrogance to hijack my computer despite what non-Yahoo settings I have put in place. How is this NOT "hacking" my computer? I will be deleting my Yahoo mail account soon, and *** will freeze over before I EVER knowingly use a Yahoo product. Who does Yahoo they they are to arbitrarily decide that I can ONLY use them as my search engine? Pretty thuggish behavior, and I'm completely over it.

Too many adds

They have too many adds and they don't have an easy place you can e-mail them to tell them. They are basically cowards. Glad I moved to g-mail. YAHOO - YOU DO NO SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS. And, they tried to tell me I needed to spend over $70 because my-email had been compromised, so they could protect me. What a crock... and now you guys at pissed consumer want me to write 100 words. Little do you know I've worked really hard at being brief. Come one people. Really, do you want all the blow by blow details? Oh, now I need two more words. Whatever.

Lost password

Update by user Jul 07, 2015

I have tried 5 times with no positive resolution. They keep spouting off that security of my email is their #1 priority--meanwhile, my bank, my sister, cousin and friend all know who I am.

I actually had an easier time accessing my bank account than getting through Yahoo. Some posters talk about the posters on Yahoo as being yahoo's; I now think that the people who work there are bigger one's!

I lost my password to my email. I have REPEATEDLY tried to get Yahoo to tell me what my old one was or to let me reset it. The customer care department turns out to be useless and worthless. They tell me that "We've so far been unable to match the answers that you provided with the verification information currently listed on the Yahoo account"; I'm 100% sure that the contact list I gave them was correct. So, how could they not match it? They say "Your account security is serious business and we take precautions to protect your personal info." And how many people are banging down the doors at Yahoo to get my password? They say "If you're having difficulty remembering a piece of personal information needed to confirm your account ownership, we recommend that you take a moment to recall what you may have used and try again." Sounds good, till you find out that I created the account SEVEN YEARS ago!

You are correct and unfortunately will never get it back. Yahoo commies have been deliberately deleting conservative posters for some time now - at least 5 years.

Poor Yahoo Customer Service

Contacted customer Service due to problems. No response for at least 2 weeks. Then some intermittent emails received which seemed tyo go nowhere. Another 3 or so weeks passed. I then receive an email in English saying all futi=ut=re communications will be in a different language. Very helpful as I only speak English and had submitted the case in English. True to their word some emails arrive in another language which I cannot understand. Then a lengthy emails which may have had the solution - I do not know as did not understand the language. I reply stating I only speak English Ignored. Then a few days later an email which appears to tell me my case has been resolved and a link to some sort of survey. Surprise the link does not work and my case is not reolved and no idea how to communicate with these people (fools) as I only speak English.

Yahoo is definately yahooooo!

Yahoo is bad because it simply has no foundation in the real world. It is operated by *** and even it's name reflects moronic character....YAHOO (always was a drunkards chant back in the day) still revives thoughts of childish stupidity when it is pronounced or read. Members of Yahoo must be real *** to stay with it. They probably are half asleep at their pc's drooling spit on their keyboards most of the time anyway. Yes, Yahoo is a poor excuse for anything but those who constantly write up the bad reviews on it are worse than Yahoo for even staying there.

Un-reachable customer service, hundreds of sales emails, too many viruses

Yahoo, your customer service is NON-EXISTENT. All numbers are un-reachable, there is no valid, straightforward way for customers to seek help or complain. The email service is awful I have been locked out of my acc for months with NO assistance. This has meant I missed important reminders which have had financial implications. I have received multiple viruses and thousands of emails from companies attempting to sell me products. It is no wonder you are being sued for snooping on your customers and I am presently investigating legal options. I will never use Yahoo again, a disgraceful and shambolic 'company' you are immoral.

Very Bad Service

I opened a Yahoo account a very long time ago when it was still a good company. I remember my username/password; but today I could not login, so I suspected my account was compromised and contacted Yahoo for help. There seems to be no way to talk to a live person so I entered the information online hoping someone could help me to reset the password. I did received email from Yahoo requesting me to provide some information to verify my identity, which I did. Next Yahoo sent me email telling me that they believed they have fully addressed my case and close it. The big problem is: other than requesting me to verify my identity, Yahoo customer service did absolutely NOTHING to resolve the issue. They just close the case. I don't think it is that hard to reset the password, but Yahoo customer service just don't do it. Yeh it is very easy to just close the case - Yahoo is paying these people anyway. What I feel is, such "customer service" is much worse than no service at all. With no service, user like me do not have to waste time. Yahoo, why are you paying big bucks to these incompetent people to ***???? I used this Yahoo email for my Paypal. After seeing no hope, now I changed my Paypal to use Gmail.

Verification Code without link to use it!

Having requested a change of password I got an email sent to my alternative address, with a verification code. Why offer a verification code in an email without a link to the page to use it in? I have wasted so much time trying to find out how to use this verification code. I've searched their own help pages which don't give the information needed. And there is no where to offer feedback, well at least no obvious place. They've never been straight forward and my account has had numerous compromises to access over the years. It just makes me think it's time to move away from Yahoo altogether. *** your waste of my time Yahoo! I'm giving up and dropping Yahoo.

I think you use that as a temporary password then after signong on make another password. I usually have the code sent to my cellphone via text then enter it as the password, change it to something familiar and rock on by.

Of course I may not have understood your question but this always only takes about a minute for me from start to sign on. Best of Luck.

Yahoo News Review from London, Kentucky

Two men kiss as first results filter through in Ireland's referendum. (AP) Dear Yahoo, This is very offensive and disturbing and I am complaining, because you are only putting this picture on you site for sensationalism. *** people only represent 1% of the US population and this picture is sickening. Please do not ever do this again. Ah, if you knew who it was that spoke the Truth to you, you would not say, "I care not for it." If you knew how essential the Truth is to your life, you would not talk so! Life began with waking up and seeing the loving face of your Mother. For I know this, that after awhile grievous wolves entered into your bedchamber, not sparing your mind; these men then by speaking perverse things to you are attempting to draw you away after them. America is now full of freethought by freethinking practitioners of Secularism that sponsor controversies with strong arguments to bring down the American culture; against our will. What do you hope to accomplish, but to lie, steal and to destroy our country?

Emma Morrison surveys

Five times I have tried to unsubscribe from this irritating survey, and I am completely ignored. The unsubscribe instructions are impossible to carry out, and all my efforts at contacting the site are fruitless. When I first subscribed I was looking to make a few bob at home; but I soon realised from the number of surveys I was inundated with that it was threatening to be too time consuming. So I started to try and unsubscribe - entirely without success. Can you release me from this stranglehold? If not, can you direct me to a regulatory authority which can. Thanks in anticipation. Locked out of my email

I tried to log in but they claimed my pass word was wrong They wanted to charge me 199 to repair it. They reduced that to $99 They lied about there being no charge since it was the company repair number that I called. After two weeks I still don't have access All it requires is for me to be allowed to change my phone numbers from the one that is disconnected to the one that works, but there is no way to change it that I can get to without having the new login code that they have not given me. Total rip-off if you ask me. I have been a customer for about 15 years but if I don't get help soon I will start using outlook or google. *** poor way to run a business if you ask me?
