DToday I had my accounts hacked. I was able to recover one of them with no issues; the second account I was not able to get into due having an old number attached to it. I had to submit a new email to my bank to reset my password due to an attempt on my bank account. So here I go giving out this email that I thought was SIGNED in on my phone. Come to find out it's not and the passwords that would have been it DON'T work. SO here I go OPTIMISTIC that I am going to call YAHOO and get HELPED. NO I call and this man named OWEN answers and starts asking questions etc. I explain to him that my email has an old number attached and I thought it was signed in and it's not. Explained how my other account was hacked and emails were sent to my bank. LONG story short he asks for me to verify an email that was sent from this account. Explained how account was no longer signed in. He was RUDE said I DID NOT deserve to speak with a manager because I could not verify and was growing frustrated. I explained numerous times how someone had hacked my other account and SENT EMAILS with my ID to my bank to reset my BANKING INFORMATION!! I was able to reset THAT email. But for security needed to provide a new email. But the alternate email I have/had is ALSO signed out and NONE of my passwords work. This man laughed at me and was acting like I was trying to *** my own account. He tells me "technical support ran a check and no suspicious activity" I go on to explain that when I ran that check on my HACKED email it said "no suspicious activity" also and yet someone in MA is sending emails from my account. And since YAHOO was so advanced if he would run that same check on the ACCOUNT I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO, so we can track that activity. He said "GREAT YOU GOT IN TO THAT ACCOUNT." I said Yes but I have TWO accounts. He kept repeating the same thing over and over. He was not moved by this at all, I explained how my check was getting deposited and needed to reset the password since the hacker was trying to do it at the same time. Yes my accounts are frozen but still need to prevent them from gaining online access. Owen was not moved, kept repeating the same thing telling me I didn't deserve to have my call escalated because I am not the only one. Even with explaining to him the level of severity he was not moved, they were located in Germany with a heavy Jordan Accent. The way that they allow these people to speak to customers is so sad; he said I was rude and I said "Yes when you get your accounts hacked and can't access your money of course I am upset (explicates were said). He was condescending in his tone and how he handled the whole situation. He even told me that he manages his passwords so he doesn't end up like this! WHAT IS THAT?

MAIN ROOT ISSUE

YAHOO ONLY HAS ONE WAY TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT AND IT'S BY GIVING THEM A SENT EMAIL.

SO IF YOUR ACCOUNTS ARE HACKED AND THE HACKERS CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD.

YAHOO DOES NOT CARE IF YOUR ACCOUNT INFO IS HACKED IF YOU CAN NOT GIVE A SENT EMAIL TOO B

Preferred solution: Apology.
