Locked out of multiple Yahoo accounts

I've just got fed up with the security Yahoo has launched. I've got several accounts I can't open because they decided to add more security to the accounts.
I agree we need it, but you can go too far with it. When I can no longer open my accounts because of security, it defeats the purpose, doesn't it? I've got four accounts I would love to get my info from but can't any longer. This two-step crap is crap.
I've changed my phone, oooohhh, that was a no-no, because they won't allow you to change your number and still open your accounts. No, no, that's bad. I've tried every way I know how or what they would let me do to reopen my accounts. But I don't believe Yahoo cares about its customers as long as they are getting advertisers' dollars.
Who cares if you open your accounts or not? Doesn't bother them one way or the other. Think about it, folks, before you open an account.
If you do, don't use it for nothing important. Thanks

Yahoo tried this once before and had a billion complaints. They removed the button to view my comments, all of them, all articles.
People that comment like to see how others react to their point of view. Without that feedback people will stop commenting. Perhaps that's the corporate motive, but if people can't participate they will stop using Yahoo, just as I have.
Why they keep "improving" things that make the experience worse is hard to understand. Yahoo was about as good as it will ever be.

Resolved: Mail lockout
- - Post-update, Yahoo mail won't load and recovery options fail.
- - No access to support; phone lines mislead and hang up.
The number for the billing department works and the lady going by the name Joey was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to explain how all my personal banking and other important life accounts use 2 step verification and this email was what they send that to. She assisted me in verifying who I am and getting me access again.
All of a sudden after the last update, my email account was no longer loaded. It has the option to add an account so I tried to redo it. It gives me a message asking for my recovery options, then it says they are invalid and that my account can't be recovered. I'm not a comcast customer either.
Asking for help tells me I can't access a Yahoo specialist. I get that they want to monetize all their services. However, I had no warnings, no time to switch or anything. I have that email and a verification method for banks, the VA, and other accounts.
If I had received notice that they were going to close free accounts, I would have gone and changed my verification processes so that I'm not also locked out of my important accounts that send verification codes to email. On top of that, the refusal to allow me to talk to anyone about it in customer service is even worse. I tried their customer service number: 866-562-**** and it is an advertisement for some medicaid and life alert!
I tried the other number on their main help page: 800-305-**** and while going thru the prompts, it tells you how to get a verification number. I followed their steps exactly, entered the verification number, and it hung up on me!
- It was free mail and the app was easy to use

Preferred solution: To be able to have access to my email so I can switch my verification processes for banking, bill pay, and the VA.

I have trying to login into my account...

Yahoo for decades allowed me to sign in using my phone number, but after decades of opting for that (when I forget my password, which I confess is often, since emails are my main reason for going to Yahoo), now when I click in 'Other Options' all I get is an 855 # that provides no help at all!! I alway's hated the thumbs up and thumbs down concept! They finally got rid of the thumbs down and replaced it with a heart. Who *** idea was that? Now they bring the thumbs down back again!

I am unable to log in and have been unable for going on to one week. I have tried many times and have not gotten a return call.

I have two Yahoo email addressed one that has been my primary email does not work for at least since email was created. They have been notified over and over.
I start the chat, and they tell me they can't help.
I need to get this fixed ASAP. I may have to get our attorney involved, since the email is used for important reasons, not just staying in touch with friends.

My user account has recently been suspended because it used exceed the 15GB storage quota but I am poorly because I have chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, sciatica, major and persistent depression disorders, hormone imbalance due to subclinical hypothyroidism, generalised anxiety disorder and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder and even though I have cleared around 6GB, my account remains suspended and even though I have deleted many messages which contain large attachments again and again, they still appear in my account as if I wouldn't have deleted them which makes me think Yahoo is tricking users so they have to pay for extra storage space.
None of the irrelevant, personal, medical information you listed prevents you from managing your account storage per terms you agreed to initially.

What I don't understand is why nobody has called out George Floyd for breaking quarantine. He would have never interacted with police if he had not done that.
The right can't handle what the left has been doing since Trump's covid-19 infection announcement for the following reasons: 1. Trump had his bubble popped about covid-19 not being something to worry about and can't use it anymore in his campaigning because of his infection.
2. Trump ridicules Biden at the debate about mask wearing and then 2 days later he announces he's got covid-19. This is one of the main reasons the left is laughing at him. 3.
