Yahoo just keeps getting worse and worse. Not only are they one of the biggest data miners of peoples information, they now set up a little scam to lock everyone out of their accounts and require verification of your old account at every login.
If you dont receive their email or still have trouble, or you used a different yahoo account as your recovery email, you have to pay to get any assistance. And it sounds like the people who do pay to get assistance are being held up for even more money/ personal information. What a joke. Who do they think this is for?
Why would I want to sign in to two email accounts every time just to check email? Im not doing that.
Too many other more reliable choices out there.
FCC should still investigate this new business model. Seems like a bait and switch to get money out of people

Hello,
I want to report that my email address: Constantin_bran@***.com was compromised. No answer form Yahoo official stuff.
I don't know the cause! Could be anything, including identity theft.
Maybe my yahoo email account has been hacked. Anything is possible!

The Yahoo news page links garbage news articles from low-grade leftist sources like Salon, HuffPost, "SheKnows", etc. They clearly scoured the web for sources that were far-left enough for them.
So I was glad when Yahoo brought back the ability to comment on articles (during the Trump years they disabled comments on articles where dissent was not allowed). But then I was permanently censored without warning or explanation after posting an article comment that did not violate user policies but went against their politics. If you're not a paying customer, which I now refuse to be, they provide no support or means of contacting them to complain.
Furthermore I have seen other reviews written by users whose accounts were suddenly deleted without warning so I've begun transferring important emails and accounts to another email address.
If you have an account at Yahoo, know that you are in the hands of immature, vindictive people who don't care about you. Do not keep important emails here or use this account as a login elsewhere.
You never know when it will go away and you won't be able to access your other accounts. Yahoo offers large mailboxes, even to non-paying customers, but it can all go away if they decide they don't like you.
Preferred solution: I've lost my trust in this company so there's nothing I need from them.
